THESE OIL SEAL RETAINERS ARE EFFECTIVELY A PIECE OF TUBE WELDED TO A THREADED BOSS. THERE IS A VISIBLE LINE WHERE THE TWO PIECES MEET.  THIS IS VERY SMALL BUT IS VISIBLE. HAVING HAD CUSTOMERS REMARK ON THIS WE HAVE EXAMINED SEVERAL ORIGINALS.  THE BULK OF THESE ALSO SHOW A VISIBLE LINE.  YOU CAN SEE THE LINE ON THE PHOTO OPPOSITE.
