STAINLESS STEEL NUT .525" AF (1/4" WHIT SPANNER).  A STANDARD IMPERIAL TYPE OF NUT USED AS A LOCK NUT NOT IN THE SENSE OF BEING A NYLOC OR STAY TIGHT/PHILIDAS SELF LOCK NUT.  THIS TYPE OF NUT BEING VERY THIN IS USED TO LOCK AN ADJUSTER WHERE ITS THINNESS ALLOWS THE MAXIMUM ADJUSTMENT OR IN CONJUNCTION WITH ANOTHER NUT WHERE THIS NUT WOULD BE TIGHTENED UP AGAINST THE FIRST NUT TO LOCK IT IN PLACE.
